I may never just walk by a dying plant again! I really like your composition, lighting, and coloring. The reflection from the counter top is a real bonus. |

Another great example of how beautiful nature is and how often we overlook it. Love the colors. I'm wondering if you'd like the result from the 105mm if you backed away a little more? I've had to learn to do that with my 150mm. Like the vignette and think Ginger may be right about the white border. |

I like your setup and composition. I think you'd have gotten a better result with a step-down in aperture and I definitely agree with Carol and Ginger that you need to diffuse your flash, perhaps even reduce it half power. |

So, I see this as practicing what you preach. The treatment you applied to Carol's and my images this month are evident to me in this image. You've presented us with the essence of the subject, along with good coloring, sharpness and a nicely bokehed background. |

I like the image as you presented it Carol. But - I REALLY like what Ginger did with it. I think she saw something similar in both of our images this round - that we had too large a view and shrinking them really brings out the interesting details in each. |

Thanks Ginger. I like the cropping, but not the blur. Maybe a slight vignette would work? |

Thanks Bill. My camera was probably a couple of feet away and a little below the tree. I know I was shooting up, but not a lot. |
