First two things that jumped out at me are the narrow European street and the colors, which are really good. Nice composition. Very good image! |

This is too cool (no pun intended). I like the minimalism. Agree with cropping out the upper stub. The colors are great, it's very sharp. Haven't seen much of this kind of thing since I've been in Florida since mid-February! |

Love this image. Really grabs my eye with it's sharpness and colors. The skulls are reminiscent of the Sedlec Ossuary in the Czech Republic, which has all the bones of the human body on display. It pays to look up!!! |

I like Judy's and Karen's adjustments and the way the wall and ground frame the rest of the scene. It's a nice sharp image with good colors. |

I'm truly enjoying everyone thinking that a cave should be well-lit! I've been in wine cellars in France, Spain, Italy, California, etc., that are so dark you can't get enough ISO for a decent picture and using flash just makes it too unreal. This is a shot of Jean Maurice Raffault, deep within the cave, opening a bottle for tasting by the group, shot at ISO-1600. |

Thanks for the detailed explanation Denise. I was curious about whether you had run a "trial-and-error" series to figure out the best exposure time. Sounds like you did what I do in manual mode. |

I, too, think the choice of the blue background was a good one - it really complements the flower and pushes it forward in the image. I'm curious how you arrived a five second exposure time? Really nice image. |

So it's Longwood month in Group 60! Terrific shot Lou. With a few exceptions, I have a shot from a few years ago that is of the same species, same colors, probably in the same location. I can't add anything to what everyone else has said. Very nice image. |

I think the orchid room is the most difficult photography spot in all of Longwood. The challenges are everything you mentioned and then some - pipes, wires, etc. Given all that, I think you've done a really good job with this flower. The only nit I would pick on this image is the dark green area at the lower left. |

Very nice shot Carol. I've always looked at graffiti as a "whole", without considering looking at it's parts. You've opened my eyes to another interesting area! I like the composition and subtle coloring, as well as the texture of the image. Another interesting aspect, to me, is the different ways the metal/paint is decaying - rust, pits, chips, cracks in the paint. Very nice image. |
