Thanks, Tam. Mon frere and I - and 14 of our friends - spent a week in the Loire Valley visiting wineries, eating great food and just enjoying France and each other's company. Great trip!! |

Thanks, Ellen. The back looks pretty much like the front, with a rather large motor attached. |

Thanks, Jim. There was no backward movement to be had - I was pressed as tightly as I could get against a stone wall. |

This is an excellent shot Tam. The colors are really good, it's very sharp, and has a good DOF that makes the tiger stand out. You practice what you preach with all the room in front of the tiger. Great catch! |

I'm with Bob, I really dislike geese. Can't figure out why Canada Geese are protected - there have to millions of them? I'm with Judy - I think the reflection makes the image. I don't recall where I read it, but there was an article about bird shots that cautioned against images where the bird was facing away from the camera. I think most of the comments here stem from that - the lack of light on the face, no view of the eye, etc. Just thought I'd pass that on since it's made me rethink taking this kind of shot. |

My first thought when I opened the page - this is a really good photo that should be grabbed up by some company for a magazine/newspaper or even static TV ad. After looking at it a number of times, I haven't changed my mind. That pan could easily be a dinner plate, a pizza tin, etc. Nice catch Judy. |

iPhone shots are getting to be normal in the PSA groups I belong to, with really good results. Very good color, clarity and exposure on this image. I like Bob's cropping out of the ceiling & lights. |

Wow! I think this is an amazing piece of post-processing work. Definitely something that will never happen on my computer! Really nice job Bob. |

Interesting - I have a similar image that I'm submitting next round. I thought about changing it, but decided to stay with it since it similar, not a duplication.
I like this shot. Nice colors and texture. I like Carol's suggestion of cropping it down to three bolts. Interesting how decay works on painted metals. Nice shot! |

The red and green of the image really stand out against the black background. I agree with the narrow DOF at 5.6, with the leading edge grabbing the focus. I think you have the same problem that I have with mine this round - glaring highlights. The white areas are really bright. |

Really good texture and pattern image. Really sharp, with the veins showing nicely, good color and nice composition. Terrific image! |

Thanks for comments Denise. I agree that the highlight distracts from the image. However, I'm definitely not a post-processing whiz since I couldn't even get the clone stamp brush to work for me when I tried it after reading your comment.

This is a really neat photo Carol. I agree with everything that Denise had to say about it. I'd definitely like to see the branch part on the bottom left cropped out. I find the piece of stem protruding from the bird's feathers to be an interesting part of the image. Nice shot!! |
