Ha!!! In your version, the photographer looks surrounded by bison. It looks even scarier than just one bison. Thanks for this new interpretation, Mary Ann! |

Joan, your image captures the unique texture of the tufts. They are indeed a fascinating natural feature of the Mono Lake area. The blue with a few clouds makes a beautiful background. |

Mary Ann, the fall colors are beautiful in your photo. The composition with the gourd off-center and leaves surrounding it works well. Your cropping eliminates the distraction of the pot. The lighting which makes the orange pop makes the image for me. You could consider using a vignette or blurring the background to make the gourd and leaves attract my eye even more. |

Kieu-Hanh, What a fascinating place to visit! Your angle lets us see both the foreground and rocks further back. I do prefer your second crop that moves the front rock to the left, just enough off-center. I think Andres has a interesting idea to remove the two trees that are visually distracting. You couldn't do that to fit "travel" or "nature" definitions, since cloning isn't allowed. However for a pleasing scene, the removal of the two trees works well. |

Yes, I was quite a ways back. I was happy to stay at a distance with bison involved. |

Thanks, Joan, for your comments. You're probably right that this bison might be female, but it looked plenty irritated at the tourist. |

Robert, your photo communicates "Venice" even without the bridge area being completely sharp. The framing of the shot is creative and nicely includes the key elements of the bridge and island. You have improved the quality of the photo quite a lot through your editing, especially with sharpness. I don't have ideas to improve the image without the multiple photos like Joan suggests. |

I like both photos you've included, Andres. I agree that the original submission is a bit sharper. The golden tones, shadows on the buildings, and reflections in the water give a magical look to the scene. A beautiful image! |
