Kiev- Hanh, thanks for your comments. I agree that the bird on the right side is rather funky looking. All three are the same bird that was altered with the transformer tool. |

Andres, thanks for noticing the trees. I loved how fan-like the branches were. The row of these trees were perfect for a photo against the stormy sky. |

Kieu-Hanh, I enjoy the summery look of the white Mykonos church and painted cobblestone street. The unique bell tower adds to the ancient yet timeless look of the building. The blue sky with the interesting clouds provides an appropriate background. Since the building is backlit, the doors and windows appear quite dark. I'm curious if the doors and windows have textured wood that would add interest to the building exterior. |

Mary Ann, I appreciate how close you got to the bear to take this photo with the bear's eyes directly focused ahead. Your reflection tool is one that I haven't tried. It did a fair job of counteracting the lines of the fence. You also eliminated some of the distractions in the background. In my version, I used the clone tool and darkened some areas for blending in PhotoShop. I would love to hear if others have additional tools that can handle this situation with a fence. |

Robert, I really like your bleeding hearts photo with the focus on the large blossom to the left. In my opinion, your lighting works well to lighten the fragile flowers and brighten their coloring. Your pink tablecloth looks more gray than pink, which I think creates a wonderful contrast to the brighter colors of the flowers. The darker shadowing on the right side forms a natural border, since the stem isn't fully shown. Well done, Robert! |

Andres, I am fascinated by the blossoms of the Mayapples. I haven't heard of this kind of plant, and that the blossoms are in the shade under the leaves is unique. Using your gorilla tripod and LCD monitor for focusing was a good plan. Since you're not happy with the busy composition, that might be the thing to focus on when you take this kind of photo again. You can focus in on a main blossom to compose your shot in a pleasing way. That would sharpen the focus on that blossom too. In the version I edited, I cropped to create a better composition and eliminate some areas that were blurry. I used a vignette to focus more attention on the blossoms and lightened the flowers too. |
