Joan, thank you for your comments. I didn't added color to the tulips, but instead changed the color management and added a bit of saturation and vibrance. You're right that it made a big difference in the look. |

Kieu-Hanh, Thanks for your comments. I agree that separating the pink tulip from the edge would be helpful. I'll try that. |

Michael, thanks for your comments. I like your idea of printing the image as a metallic print. That would bring out the colors. |

LuAnn, thanks for your comments. I tried to implement some of your suggestions, lightening the top, smoothing the edge of the purple tulip, and adding green to the tips of the leaves. See what you think. |

Joan I think it's clever of you to re-envision this view of the ground as an abstract. The unusual coloring of the moss add interest. For me, the most interesting part is the circular patch of moss with red. I wonder if adding contrast and saturation to only that part of the image might highlight the red. |

Kieu-Hanh, I like how the black background makes the bright orange and red of the flower pop. The parts of the blossom are sharp and well lit. The simplicity of the setting works well for this pretty Bird of Paradise. |

Mary Ann, the repeated arches of the hallway are artistically pleasing, especially when framed by the ornate door. I like the feeling of wonder expressed by the woman, and think her presence adds scale to the scene. The lighting accents the repeated arches. I'd suggest you take out the man with his cell phone, which in my opinion distracts from the peacefulness of the image. In my version, I used the clone tool in PhotoShop to remove the man and the skew transform tool to straighten the doorway. Lovely image! |

Michael, you are so fortunate with the weather conditions and lighting of this scene in New Zealand. It's beautiful! The vibrant green and clear view of the glaciers and waterfalls are remarkable. The day my husband hiked this trail, the weather was rainy with slick bridges. The strong winds made us grip the sides of the bridge to steady ourselves. You've captured a striking photo that is filled with memories for you. |

I find your photo compelling and intriguing. Especially the glowing light of the top jellyfish grabs my attention with the black background. It looks like the middle jellyfish is smashing into the bottom one, but I realize that in the 3-D space it might actually be behind the bottom jellyfish. The diagonal lines of the tentacles add a feeling of movement. The extra space you added at the bottom keeps the image from running out of the frame. Beautiful photo! |
