Cool effect with the steel wool! Are the streaks from volcanic embers or from the steel wool? It does look a bit dangerous either way. How exciting to see a volcano at night. The long exposure was definitely the way to go. |

Merry Christmas to everyone! What a lovely, festive image! I like the position of the ornaments nestled in the snow. Good sharpness and detail with the snowflakes. |

How exciting to see the hawk right in your own yard! I like the wing position of the hawk. A view of the hawk's lunch makes the image even stronger. Nice sharpness on the hawk's feathers with the blurred leaves in the background. |

I find this am impactful, photojournalistic image. The standing cross in the midst of rubble can proclaim a positive message about faith. I'd appreciate hearing more about the location of your photo and the story of the destruction. Nice job with the composition and close-up of the door. |

I like both versions and can see strengths in each. In the color version, I love the glow on the mountains. In the b&w version, the ruggedness of the peaks and barn are emphasized. In the color version, the tree on the right side draws some attention away from the barn. While in the b&w version, the tree's presence is more subtle and doesn't distract. |
