The soft lighting of the evening sky and simple wire fence capture a special place and time. The inclusion of the hat holds memories for you of a wonderful trip and lovely evening. I think all of us seek to capture these special moments that hold memories that are precious to us. Thanks for sharing yours with us. |

You stacking process does produce a sharp, detailed portrait of the frog. The blurred background keeps my attention on the frog and his unusual appearance (somewhat like Jabba the Hut from Star Wars fame). His sharp eye makes him look like he's looking right at me. |

I find your panning adds a sense of movement to your image. You've done a nice job of keeping the man sharp. I like the inclusion of the POW flag and the small America flag in the background that add to the story your image tells. I agree with Marion that the background could be more blurred to keep my focus on the man and his motorcycle. |

I actually dodged the ladder, because I wanted it to be the center of attention. It's the white ladders that I found so unusual in this native American architecture. The building has a kiva on the second story, so the males ascend the ladders to take part in ceremonies. I'm interested that you found the ladder too white. |

I appreciate the graceful wings of the bird and their lovely pink color. The coloring works well with the delicate blue of the sky and the hint of branches. To me, the wings show nice detail, but the head is not quite sharp |

I appreciate the colors and jeweled tones of the image, with its challenging lighting. Making both sides of the photo work is difficult. To me, the left side is simple, while the right side is detailed and ornate. I'd prefer the top be cropped to exclude the dark triangle in the left corner and the partial section above the door (since it adds even more details). To me, the man in the sanctuary is in a awkward position, since he faces out of the frame. |

I think your processing does capture the "old time" look with the sepia and greenish tone. The background scene of the tent adds to the 1800's look for me. Of the two characters, the man seems more in keeping with the 1800's look, with is worn and tattered appearance. I'm used to seeing portraits from the 1800's with people looking straight at the camera with straight expressions, no smiles. So the young woman's smile doesn't fit the 1800's time period as well for me. |
