For me, the individuality of balcony furniture contrasted with the sameness of the apartment design is of interest. The matching doors and windows become an architectural pattern. I agree with Kieu-Hahn that cropping the photo on the left side would focus my attention on the apartment building. |

I like how you used the spray of the fountain to frame the Philadelphia City Hall. How fun to explore a new city with camera in hand! I prefer cropping out some of the sky to focus more on the fountain and city hall. |

I like the vivid red color and detail on the flower's center. The shadow on the flower and its softly focused leaves add to the image. I like that the background is dark , which contrasts with the bright flower. I prefer an off-center position for this particular flower and the arching leaf above it, so I would prefer to crop a bit off the left side and bottom. But that of course is just my preference. |

Mary Sue, your interesting, industrial macro images seem to be a strength for you. To me, the sky blue contrasted with the rust highlights the aged textures of the machinery. I'm not sure that the partial circle on the left adds anything to the image, so you could consider cropping/cloning it out. I'd encourage you to enter the image in competition. Even if you don't win, the score you receive would give you insight into what the judges think about this kind of industrial macro image. |

I like the combination of the golds of the flowers and colors of the sunset. The backlighting of the coneflowers outlines the centers and highlights the colors of the petals for me. I agree the starburst of light is rather bright, but it is a beautiful touch for this evening shot. Very pretty!
