I like the golden effect and framing you used for a more vintage look. The details of the sails are particularly nice. I enjoy the reflection in the water and inclusion of the crew. The highlight on the flag is appropriate for this shot. In my opinion, you could crop a bit closer a bit closer on top. |

Oh, the power of those falls! Evening is a wonderful time to take this kind of shot. To me, your color enhancement highlights the fall colors of the shore and subtle blue of the water. I prefer a bit of cropping from the top of the photo to focus on the water. |

I like the humor of the shop's name. The straight forward angle and cropping work for a journalistic image. Technically, the photo is strong with sharp details. |

Mary Sue, your image gives me a peaceful, calm feeling. The cool greens and blues are lovely. I like the contrast between the sharp moss on the branches compared to the blur of moving water. Nice composition and execution. |

I love the bright fall colors. I think the blurred background and sharp front leaves is appropriate for this macro shot. To me, the bright light on the background leaves competes with focus on the foreground leaves. Perhaps a simpler or dark background would let the beauty of the front leaves shine more fully. Jim, I admire the fact that you are exploring macro photography that is outside your norm. |
