Hi Gloria
High Key is simply a photography style with emphasis on light tonal ranges, minimum shadows, white background.
The Two Zinnias was taken with window light, a diffuser and a reflector. |

For the Two Zinnias, I shot this as a high key image. For this presentation, I inverted the image, minor adj. in Curves, changed to B/W and the Blend Mode was Hard Light |

What a beautiful sky. The fishing boat strengthens the image and I also find the right side could be cropped a bit. |

I follow Kathleen Clemons who does wonder flower images and is also a lensbaby guru. Here's a link to a webinar featuring her work

Looking forward to reading the article and the details behind the gallery. I like the sharpness and clarity of each image that's mounted here. The sides are a bit distracting and the lower right image has touched the edge. You've whetted my appetite for the article. |

This image has a very nice feel. I like the subtle tones on the desks and the overall mood. The person writing on the board is not distinctive enough and doesn't stand out as a person. I would suggest trying a front on view of a person. |

Nice capture. I find the streak in the middle of the window a bit distracting and suggest turning the image B/W. The lighting on the hands tells the story. |

I have no experience with Lensbaby and it looks quite challenging. For me the sharp focal point seems to be on the far left on the yellow pedals. I would prefer having the centre of the flower the sharpest point. The brown background is a bit distracting. I wonder if the out of focus pedals could be softer? |
