You captured this musician beautifully, the light on the guitar and his hands draws the eye to the subject. I'm afraid, though, that I disagree with the others about the sepia tone, it's just a bit too pink for me. I think a tonal treatment is great, just not this one. |

I have seen this bridge and it is a photographers dream and challenge. You did a good and brave thing to hang over the edge to capture this angle. This might sound strange, but I wish that large building wasn't there at the end of the bridge. Your eye follows the bridge to that building where it just dies and, to me, takes away from the bridge. With that said, I'd like to see just a bit more contrast to the bridge so as to help it stand out from the sky. Maybe I just need to come back to Singapore! |

Paul, I don't think your lack of climbing has limited your ability to get a great shot. I very much like the perspective you've achieved with the main cross up front and the crosses/structures in the background leading us back to the sea. The sky is wonderful and I especially like the texture in the sky and on the ground. By the way, thanks for the suggestions about luminosity masks. I've been watching videos and have downloaded preliminary panels to try my hand. Hopefully you'll see some results as soon as I've practiced. |
