Nice! I love Michigan. We have gone to Copper Harbor in the Keweenah Peninsula many times (my husband's mother was born in Ahmeek). There are so many beautiful spots there. You are lucky to have a family home to escape to. From Colorado it's a very very long drive, but I would do it again! Personally, I like the stormy clouds in the original image. At first I wasn't sure of the orange lichen, but after looking at a few of my own N Michigan photos, the lichen is brilliant...especially in the sunrise.
A beautiful shot bringing back memories of the area!! |

It's a very nice shot. I would agree with Curtis and Susan in the tight cropping on the left. I tend to like things even and perhaps the pipes prevented that. The colors seem a bit pale and muted. I would like it a bit warmer. This looks like a wonderful cathedral to visit.

I love this Curtis! It's like an invitation into a secret garden. The lines, colors, and textures work in a great composition. Welcome to the group!! |

This is a very deep, thought provoking image. I keep going back to it and just looking and thinking. It tells a story that I'm sure is unique to each person. Well done and what a treasure for the owner! |

I LOVE IT! She's beautiful with such understanding, trusting eyes. I love the patterns and colors around the eyes. And you caught the reflections on skin and eyes.
Wonderful! |

In my local Loveland Photographic Society's monthly competition we have a monthly topic. Next month's competition is titled "Make me want to go there!" That's exactly how I felt when I saw your image....I want to go there! I'd love to see the sunflowers! |

Thanks Susan. I had not thought of moving the dandelion to section of the thirds rule. I'll have to play around with that thought. The seeds and their pattern really caught my attention. I also loved Spirographs as a child and spent hours and hours creating! |
