Nice effect with the water. Works well for a change verse the usual glassy smooth. I wish the photo was a little longer so the head showed up. |

Picture perfect and you were ready to shoot. Excellent capture for 1/500. I'm thinking you caught the whale at the right moment. At its peak, stops, then descending. I have missed quite a few at 1/800. I went to a seminar last week and the presenter recommended 1/2500 for wildlife. Kind of a guaranteed setting if it works with the rest of your settings. FWIW |

Very pleasing photo. It makes me want to stop and take look a little farther. Lots of depth in the circular rings of water that brings up the grain of the wood. The yellow touch of leafs. Excellent photo. |
