I was debating on taking the wave out too. But I liked the vulnerability, innocence that it shows as the snipes while away at what ever they are doing with the wave looming above. Just not a good shot of the wave, next time! |

Good DOF.
Though I don't know if the motion works for myself. A slightly faster shutter speed would keep the static part of the body in focus with the limbs in motion. But that might not work either as the many variables that your trying to capture with this picture. I don't know. |

A nice image and ethereal just like you saw it and brought that to the viewer. You mentioned sharpness so I gave it a try and sharpened in photos using contrast, exposure, definition, and sharpen. I came up with a lot of noise in the background and wondered how I was going to get rid of the noise with out using photoshop. Blackpoint worked which made the background darker. |

You couldn't of explained it better! )
Bi-planes as my mind wrapped around the image following the click of the mouse. So a A+ on Abstract.
Curious what the occasion was? |

Good work on taking in your surrounding while working. Which usually brings good results. Just a couple of comments. The background seems to clash with the subject and part of the leg is missing.
I'm curious if you were in a hurry when you took this shot?
I had a instructor make that comment once on some of my photos that she critiqued. |

Excellent photo. Sharp, color, capture. A little crowded in the frame for myself, remedied by adding a little more realestate above the head. |

Excellent bokeh, vignette, keeping your attention on the grasshopper? I was trying to guess what the critter was standing on and a leaf came to to mind. Now seeing the vertical grains in the wood. A good photo! |
