Good thoughts on shooting at a different time of day. I don't think I realized the potential of the image at the time when I took it. More of a captured memory for myself. |

Good eye on the soldiers. With the odd man out, blue kayak. |

I might be able to help you out with this one Lee. My boss and I ran into this problem a few years back building a bungalow, east coast style summer home. The shakes were from back east, white cedar. Totally saturated with water, pond dried, when we laid them on the roof. The roof dripped for a month, inside. perplexed. Never having time to dry out in the winter weather here, rain. Once they dried out they could handle the intermittent rain. No troubles after that. You might find that it is hopefully a problem that will cure it self. Sealant doesn't sound like a good idea. Your idea of slipping a piece of flashing where the problem is should work. Especially if you can see where it is coming from through from underneath. FWIW |

With out your description I wasn't coming to the same conclusion that you got. Survivor, hearty, concerned look in his eyes. Good capture. |

Soft and grainy. Not the striking detail that you usually see with this type of image. I like it for what it is. The white edge of the inner petal draws my eye. Spot removal is all that I would do. |

Lighting and composition is great. I can agree with your thoughts on the foreground too. There seems to be a strong halo area at the base of the Mt.. A strong line. Which I find doesn't blend with the rest of the shot. A LR gradient filter might of helped in that area. |

I agree. I like your play on the meaning. Literal. Positioning of the base of the red tack hanging in the foreground, space. Good choice of color, red, for the prime tack. |
