I did a global adjustment on the highlights.. To be more precise, you could just use the adjustment brush in LR. |

David, you REALLY have an eye for these nice vignettes of life. The image is, as usual, well composed and well exposed. The story-telling effect is also exceptional. I know that you do not like photomanipulation, but the image MIGHT be enhanced by brightening up the boar and the faces of the villagers. See VF. NICE JOB!!! |

I LIKE what you have done here. The image MIGHT be enhanced by a B&W conversion so as to remove the distracting background colors. See VF |

NICE CAPTURE, Rich.!!! The image is really sharp considering the circumstances. The color balance is also nice. The image MIGHT be enhanced by decreaing some of the bright yellow background either by desaturating the image or darkening the background. You also might consider cropping even further to focus the viewer's eye on the lioness. Brightening up the lioness and a bit of sharpening MIGHT enhance this already excellent image. GOOD WORK!!! |

Agree with all the above comments. From my perspective, the sky is overexposed (check the histogram). This can be corrected by bringing down some of the highlights in Lightroom. In addition, there appers to be a slight lens flare in the center of the image. The rock in the mid foreground is distracting and could be removed with some judicious cropping. See VF |

Mark, I like what you are trying to do here. The colors and exposure are GREAT. From a compositional standpoint, to my eye, the image is just too "busy".. By that I mean there does not seem to be a center of interest. I would suggest that you try to simplify the image and keep us focused on what you thought was the most important part of the image. See VF. |
