Your picture looks fine, its just that the textures and hues are subtle. For me the focal point is the yellow light on the rocks and sea weed, but then I wander around the frame to see the contrasting textures. If you want a bit more pop, perhaps adding some contrast would do the job. |

I think you did very well with the camera you had with you. The detail is not quite as sharp as you might of gotten with your full size camera, but you got a picture. Looks nice in black and white, the white sky and white water make a frame.........The left side doesn't add to the image, which for me is about the reflected trees and the line of the water, so you could take some off for more balance and focus. |

Good shot, very sharp with subtle detail in the whites, and especially the eye. The background is just out of focus enough to not be distracting. The way you arranged the background works very well, the snow on the ground mimics the colour of the subject. |

I think your composition is just right, you caught the sea lion in a good pose. The blue shadows look great against the orange hues of the animals that are lit. Although there are a lot of sea lions, none catch my attention except the main subject. Its a very good image, and a nice nature story. |

There are a multitude of tones of the one colour, as I wander through them I notice the sharp detail. Looking for something to settle on, I find a crease in one segment that looks a bit like a cresent moon. I then noticed that the rivets look a bit like stars, an interesting impression.........The light toned triangle upper left keeps pulling my eye away, but it could be cloned away. Another possibility is to rotate the whole image counter clockwise, so then some of the grey triangles could be cropped away but leave a little implied motion in the centre. |
