37 Feb 17 Comment I could probably guess what it is, but I will wait for the reveal. But its a nice line with three waves leading to what I noticed right away, and for me the subject, the captured seeds and/or small growing things. Its a very good image, it holds my attention. Feb 20th
37 Feb 17 Comment The eye is very sharp, the yellow colour a bonus. The lighting is crisp, the details fine.......You could consider cropping tighter, a lot off the top, and some off the right side so the merganser has space to move into. Feb 20th
37 Feb 17 Comment I have always admired blue blue pictures, they are sort of monochrome and austere. I am not sure that some noise would detract from this image, its misty in places anyway.......For a different look you could crop off the top of the falls, and the right side to remove the rocks bottom right for a simplified image with the central boulders less central. 37 Feb 17 Comment Interesting and different. Most pictures like this get deleted, but it is worth while to keep some that speak to you. I have a few that I like as more abstract images, even if they are in fact mistakes. Your composition in this picture is just right.......I find the dark line above the birds pulls my eye away from them as it appears sharper. Feb 20th
37 Feb 17 Comment Very nice. You did well to notice this pattern, it upgrades a regular sunset into something much more. The round shaped puddle with the sky colour in it breaks the symmetry and becomes the focal point. Feb 20th
37 Feb 17 Reply The stop was F5.6 at 1/800. Hand held. The lens was zoomed out, with a half size sensor, so the effective focal length would be 600 mm. Feb 20th
