31 Jul 23 Reply John: When I first saw this portrait, I was almost stunned it just captured my imagination and felt lucky to "grab" a shot of it. Thanks for your comments. Jul 24th
31 Jul 23 Reply Hi Ian: Thank you for your comments... sometimes we just get lucky in seeing things like this pioneer woman. Jul 24th
31 Jul 23 Reply Peter: Thank you for your comments. Very much appreciated Jul 24th
31 Jul 23 Reply Hi Ed: Thank you for your kind words... I believe those things on the side of her head are from a lace cap she has on the top of her head. If you look closely at the image you can barely see the lace on the top of her hair. Jul 24th
31 Jul 23 Reply John: thanks for "digging out" the color version... exactly what I suspected... really great in color as well! Thanks for all your hard work! Jul 15th
31 Jul 23 Comment Hi Nick: Great leading line.. but, not quite sure where it is leading to ... except right out of the picture. I believe the scale might be achieved by something relatable to like an object of some sort or people as examples. Nice contrast and an interesting diagonal shape. Jul 11th
31 Jul 23 Comment Hi Ed: At first glance, it appears those gents are solving all kinds of problems. To my eye, that stark white wall which is a large part of the image seems to compete with your subjects. I'm wondering if by darkening that wall a bit if it would lessen the distraction? I've also noticed some of those dreaded sharpening halos around their pants and shoes. Aside from the gents, your image is full of interesting shapes and textures. Jul 11th
31 Jul 23 Comment HI Peter: I just love the Jackson Hole area and, as you said, a visit there would not be complete without visiting Mormon Row. Your capture of this iconic barn and location is just beautiful. Thank you for sharing this wonderful image. Jul 10th
31 Jul 23 Comment Hi Ian: What a lovely capture of a swan family. Usually they swim away from you, but, it appears they are coming towards you which is especially interesting since they have babies. Just one suggestion to darken the background above the cygnets which appears to have a couple distracting light areas. A very sweet image! Jul 10th
31 Jul 23 Comment Hi John: To my eye, this image IS a gem. A very nice leading line right to the people sitting along side the stream. I bet this is lovely in color as well. Very nice image and handled well in post camera processing. Jul 10th
