Hi Ian: I'm visiting your group and saw your lovely image. Great leading line to the white light house, beautifully exposed and processed. This looks like a fabulous place to take a holiday! |

Nick I added a 3 pixel stroke and use the marquee tool Ctl A, in Photoshop and under Edit, Stroke, I usually use a grey stroke rather than white b/c to my eye, the grey is not as "in your face" as white. In my view, a white stroke can subtract rather than add to the image... whereas the grey is more suttle. I hope that helps. |

Hi Peter: I love the leading lines and textures of your image. Even though this is from your archived files, I bet if you went back today this spot would look exactly the same. Our sky, here in Arizona, is usually cloudless so I'm not surprised that you changed it. Great tonal values, great composition ... just another great landscape image! I bet the color version is spectacular as well. |

HI John: What a great street scene! I love to see people doing everyday things without the realization of being photographed. When I first looked at your image, one of the first things that I noticed was that pillar on the right... and thought, if this were my image I might consider cropping it out along with the ladies hands. OR cloning her out all together, leave the pillar, and, as Peter suggested, darkening down that pillar a bit. |

HI Ian: You did it again! I don't know how you find these cool characters... and, might add, I'd hate to run into this guy in a dark alley. At least they are doing it for a good cause. Shinny things like his hat are difficult to photograph with all the unwanted reflections and glare they manage to catch. I like your choice of background which does appear to be a sky filled with stars. |

Hi Nick: You achieved your goal! Your image definitely captures a time gone by. Great composition and beautifully processed. To my eye the BW fits this image perfectly, I do not believe sepia would be an improvement. Not a +/- just an observation... someone takes care of the place as seen by how the grass is cut by the front tire of the Ford truck. Tell me I'm right re: the truck :-) |
