31 Apr 22 Reply Hi Ian... sadly, Winston Churchill is not close to my family...but am glad the composition gave that impression. The glasses are antique and have been in our family for a LONG time, the watch belonged to my elder brother who passed 2 years ago and I inherited it. The tie... I bought in the thrift store for $1 US. The gold chain isn't really gold but works. Thanks again for your kind feedback. Apr 14th

31 Apr 22 Comment HI Paul: Hummingbirds are really beautiful, really f a s t , and really challenging to photography. Really! To my eye, your image looks a bit soft. I'd consider at least one, or two strobes to help stop the action along with an increase in the shutter speed. This looks like a little male to my eye, but, am not sure in mono. Apr 12th
31 Apr 22 Comment HI John: Looking at your image I can almost hear the sound of the water! I think your choice of shutter speed was right on for this image. Nice Job! Apr 7th
31 Apr 22 Comment Hi Ed: Great capture of a beautiful cathedral. I've not been there in years, and your image brings back fond memories. You did a great job in post camera processing. Apr 7th
31 Apr 22 Comment HI Ian: What fun is that? One looks like he got soaked and one was able to get away. Great leading line with the fence to the action. Sometimes these extemporaneous situations are the most challenging but usually turn out the best. Great job! Apr 7th
31 Apr 22 Comment Hi Peter: Being from the SW in the USA, the minute I saw your image I knew it was Zabriskie point. I've visited this location on a number of occasions as well. Really lovely composition, with great tonal values. Technically well done. The bonus - a great sky. Another outstanding landscape image! Apr 5th
31 Apr 22 Comment Hi Nick: What a great image. The two people really give a sense of scale to the image and like that they are in silhouette. Great reflections as well. I like your image very much! Apr 5th
31 Apr 22 Comment Hi Lance, thank you for visiting our group and, thank you also for your kind feedback. The watch is an O L D piece acquired by my older brother many years ago. I recently inherited the watch and thought it deserved some attention. To my eye, the BW version of this image really speaks to me more than the color. I will be stopping by to visit your group soon. Thanks again. Apr 5th
