Hi Ian: thank you for your nice comments... with the F 5.6, I thought that would be enough to make the background soft enough that it wouldn't matter... but, from the feedback, the background trees were a distraction for some. Thanks again |

Peter... Great suggestion... you have an eagle's eye... it should be easy to do. Thanks |

HI Ed: I like your image. To my eye, the crop on the right hand side is a bit close. Since I cannot see where the tracks lead, it appears they go into the mountain. I quickly flipped the image, added more real estate on the side, increased the contrast a bit and "painted" a black area at the end of the tracks looking like a tunnel. |

Hi John: An interesting image of two gents working on an object. To my eye, your image appears to be soft over-all. The background is busy with many distractions which, to my eye, makes the image look tilted or not straight. If this were my image, I think I'd start by straightening the image, and use a tighter crop especially on the left-hand side. |

Nick, thank you for your feedback... I think I was lucky to get a soft background with the F5.6 |

Hi Peter: The light is really beautiful in your image. Great composition with nice reflections. The sky is dramatic. Excellent tonal quality, and technically well done. I've not been to Scottland and can't wait to go after seeing your image. |

Hi Nick: Great image with a nice leading line in the sand. Nice reflections as well. The clouds add to the image and think you made the right decision to wait just an extra moment to capture them. It might be my computer but the snow on the left hand side appears to have a yellow cast... again, it could have something to do with my computer. |

HI Ian: I love Harleys too... if only we could hear them.. but, looking at your image, I almost can. Shiny things are always difficult to photograph with all of the glare and reflections... I like your composition very much with all of the shapes and textures. My only little tiny weeny suggestion would be to selectively dodge the glare area in the upper right hand area of your image. |
