31 Dec 19 Comment HI Ed: An interesting approach to making a ghost... To my eye, half of her is ghosted - her legs.. and the rest appears intact - or not ghosted. As they say, nothing beats a great pair of legs...I think I'd decide if I wanted her totally visible, or ghosted. If ghosted is what your are after, then I'd consider decreasing the opacity on the second image to make her whole self more ghosted … which might sound weird... hopefully, you can decipher what I mean. 31 Dec 19 Comment Hi John: I think the bird sitting on the rock, gives both interest and perspective to your composition. If this were my image, I might consider replacing the sky totally... OR...try to bring out some of the detail in the sky with a curves adjustment.. the light on the top of the rock appears a bit "hot" to my eye and would tone that down a bit and try to increase the seagull's presence a bit. The image appears sharp to my eye. Dec 22nd
31 Dec 19 Comment HI Ian: Your image looks like something straight out of a magazine ad! Lighting for shiny objects is tricky and, to my eye, the speedlite looks like it is not on the camera but perhaps sitting on your tripod? I've used a white reflector in situations like your composition to bounce light on to the dark areas of the image which would be the bottom of the bottle and the cuff-links. Your image is a stretch from any of your previous submittals and, it is my opinion that still life composition and lighting are as challenging and perhaps more than landscape photography... Dec 22nd
