Ian, thanks for your comments. These characters appear and are gone in seconds. So, you try to be fast and hope for the best. At times, they will accommodate and pose, but, that usually lasts for all of 2 seconds and then they are off...I think they are so interesting and will continue to look for these out-of-the-ordinary shots. |

John thank you for your comments. This guy was in character and shot him at one second's notice. An interesting fellow who stayed in character for this quick pix. |

Hi Ed... I think Ansel is still riding on many of our shoulders as we compose our images. To my eye, you image appears a bit flat and might consider a curves or levels adjustment with some selected burning and dodging to bring out those birch logs a little more. I like your composition very much and think Ansel would agree... nice job! |

HI Rashid: What a cool image... I like the shapes and contrast of your image, and almost feel like I am riding down the escalator in back of the man eating his dinner or snack... I wonder what he was eating??? I think it might have been pastrami on rye bread sandwich? In any case.. . nicely done! |

Hi John: An interesting landscape image. I'd consider trying to bring out a bit more contrast in the clouds, and, perhaps a curves or levels adjustment to add some more tonal value to the image... it does appear a bit flat to my eye... I agree with Peter's comment regarding a tighter crop to remove one of the trees and some foreground grass. The sky seems to have a bit of noise, and, perhaps that is my eye, but might also consider a denoise application. |

Peter... I appreciate your keen observations... will add some more detail to those areas... this guy was the partner of the bone lady which I submitted a couple months ago. Ella |

HI Paul: At first glance, I thought there was a reflection in the door-way.. and, quickly realized you shot through the door-way. Of course, none of the buildings in Taos are straight... and, think the background is straight, but, the entrance door-way seems not straight to my eye. The white wash along the entrance way seems a bit blown out. I guess my question … is the image about the entrance-way OR.. the background? If it is the entrance-way, I'd consider removing the buildings or darkening them so the focus remains on the entrance. |

Hi Ian: A very touching moment captured beautifully. I found the background wall not the shadow a bit distracting. Overall a nice image. |

Hi Peter: Another great image... I love the light on the church front, beautifully composed image. Like Ian, I would never have guess it was a composite. Great job! |
