Hi John - Thank you for your feedback. The "F" holes as Rashid noted are where the sound comes from... let the music play! |

Hi Paul: A great composition. I'm taking a guess, and might be totally wrong... but, to my eye, it appears that you've added a vignette in post camera processing. In some cases, the vignette seems to add banding to the image which Peter pointed out in his comments. Levels adjustment has a feature for vignettes which does not add banding to the image and might be an option to consider on this image. |

Peter... thanks for your feed back. I'd like to see one of your macro or close up shots as a change of pace. We know and appreciate your great landscapes but something out of the box might be fresh. Stepping out of the box as I did on this shot gave me the opportunity to test some skills which I am a total novice. A close up shot with the use of a speedlite on a very dilapidated instrument yielded a fairly acceptable image... and, must say, I am happy I took the risk. I learned a lot in the process. Again, thanks for your feedback. |

Hi John: I think your image totally captures City Life! Nicely done... the buildings are straight and, I like the contrast of the bridge in front of the buildings. Nicely captures your theme! |

HI Peter: Another great landscape. Great composition as well. Usually Kirkjufell is seen from the other side with the waterfalls but, this direction is really nice. I probably would not have know the aurora was in the sky without reading your description. Initially, I thought it was thin cloud formations... but, hey, who cares... clouds or aurora... a great shot none-the-less! |

Hi Ed: Nice leading line of the fence in your image. To my eye, your image appears a bit flat and might benefit from an increase in contrast. I like what you've done with the clouds. I'd also consider removing wires and poles in the background, and, while they are small, I found myself focused on them. |

HI Rashid: WOW! What a beautiful lady! Congratulations on your marriage, lucky you! A great image except for the background, which I found very distracting. |

Hi Ian: Another dramatic shot! I agree with your assessment on the hot spots and contrasty-ness of the image. I do believe Peter's temptation to remove the safety harness is one that I agree with, and, would straighten the standing platform a bit as well. I'm surprised there is no detectable noise with an ISO of 4,000... did you denoise the image in post processing? |
