Ian, thank you for your comments... @ my last visit to the zoo, I checked in on this "cutie"... and, he gave me the cold shoulder... with hind sight, I guess I was pretty lucky he posed for me on my first visit... so much for a cute, handsome and my kind of guy... on to the next shot :-) |

Rashid, you captured what appears to be a rather pensive individual. Dramatic lighting. I might consider straightening the image, perhaps removing the light numbers above his right shoulder, perhaps using a plug-in like De Noise ... the image seems to have a lot of noise to my eye, and a tighter crop might strengthen this image. |

Hi Ed... To my eye you conveyed a real sense of the texture of the desert... B U T ... not high desert... High desert does not have saguaro cactus and is typically characterized by other vegetation. I like your composition very much... If this were my image, I might consider increasing the saturation a bit and/or a levels adjustment in the sky and background as the image looks a bit flat. It might make the foreground cactus stand out more. I had the similar experience with a flat image... take a look at my monkey... prior to sending it, the image looked ok, but, when I saw it posted it looked entirely different and a bit flat... Could it be from the posting??? who knows. |

HI John: To my eye, your image seems a bit busy. If this were my image, I might consider a tighter crop especially on the right side, which, in my view doesn't add much to the image. I echo Paul's comments re: flat. perhaps increasing saturation a bit? The image also appears to have noise, but, it may appear that way b/c of the lighting? |

Hi Ian: Thank God for Bungee Straps! What a great image. I love the lighting you captured on the aircraft at night. There is no question what the subject of your shot is. Technically well done, great composition... a real winner to my eye! |

Hi Peter it is great to see Godafoss in the winter vs summer when I was there. Another fabulous winter scape image. How did you not kill yourself getting to the location to shoot this image with all of the snow and ice on the ground? Since visiting this area myself, I know how rough the surrounding terrain is in the summer... cannot imagine how you managed in to maneuver in the winter. |
