Hi John: I do believe the halos around the two silhouettes are due to me separating them in post processing and filling them with black to remove any hint of detail... I do not see any other halos in the image except around the people. The halos are easy to remedy ... thanks for your feedback. |

HI Peter: I recall the day being a dark and raining type of day in Iceland and the inside of the Harpa was quite dark as well... the people were almost silhouettes but, I separated them in post processing and made them completely dark without any detail... I do believe that is where the halos came from since I do not see halos in any other part of the image. |

Paul it does appear to be a halo... I will check to see if it appeared when I isolated the figures & filled them with black. Thank you for your feedback |

Paul: Wow! I'd suspect your were at 400mm when you shot this image? I like the "S" configuration of the wildebeest that you were able to capture. To my eye, the backs of the animals might benefit from some burning and toning down as this image appears to be shot in mid-day light.... Having been to Africa last February this is how the animals look. Nice capture. |

Hi Rashid: I like your composition very much. To my eye, the white wall of the building in the background competes with the silhouette of the girl walking through the arch. If this were my image, I might consider toning down that wall and/or adding some texture "borrowed" from the wall on the right in the background. I'd also consider a tighter crop on the top eliminating that light area above the arch and some of the light on the ground and wall on the right hand side of the image. |

Hi Peter, another wonderful image of Iceland! I like your composition very much. A very nice leading line going right to that rusty boat. I also like the post processing of the new sky...great choice and their reflection in the water seems to match perfectly. |

Hi Ian: Another interesting character! I like the catch light in your model's eyes created from the speed-lite but to my eye, her face is a bit bright and may benefit from some post processing magic. |

Ed, our fellow group member Peter Clark is the guru on post camera processing & sharpening... he has a web site and has been very helpful to me in the past re: halos... |

Hi John: I like your image of the waterfall very much and think the vertical format suits this subject well. I also like the softness of the water and think your choice of 1/15 shutter was exactly right. The water appears soft yet it still has enough detail. I also like the shapes and textures of the rocks. Technically well done! |

Hi Ed: I like your image of the bridge very much. A nice leading line at the base of the bridge & did not find the "undercarriage" distracting at all. I like the textures and shapes of your image very much. My only suggestion would be to look for sharpening halos on the top of the bridge... my eyes could be deceiving me. Very nice image |
