Rashid: You were able to capture catch light in this individual's eyes. To my eye, however, this portrait is expressionless, flat and seems to be lacking interest. Perhaps a change in lighting or background may help? |

Paul, just a fabulous image. I love your composition and the softness of the water fall that you achieved. |

John, a very nice image. I do agree with Paul's suggestions and think they make the image pop! |

Peter, another lovely image. I love your composition and light on the tree really makes it stand out. I cannot think of one thing to improve your image. |

Ian, shiny things are difficult to photograph. Fighting glare and reflections outside studio lighting is difficult at best. The windshield and windows of the vehicle just jump out as being different. Perhaps darkening the windows might help but, in any case they will require work. To my eye, the man reflected in the door adds to the image. Nice job. |

Peter, thank you for your feedback. I am new to portraits and have no idea what I am doing relative to lighting and background requirements. Lucky me, both Susan and Larry Cowles are members of my photo club and can tap into their expertise re: portraits. In fact, when I shot this gent, we were together at the Renaissance Festival and was taking guidance from them. Peter, I value your 2 cents, thank you again for your feedback... it is the little tweaks that can make the difference between getting an acceptance or not! |
