Peter, thank you for your comments... I'll give toning down a try and see if it helps. The reason I did the background as I did was b/c the bat's wing pom-poms were back lit and even when separating the image from the background it was obvious. As I mentioned, the original background was terrible as well as the light. Thanks again for your feedback. |

Ian, Thank you for your feedback...I liked your interesting characters so much that when the Renaissance Festival came to town I was sure to attend. The Renaissance Festival only comes once a year and is a photo-rich event with all kinds of characters in costume which is an example in this month's submittal. |

Paul, having just returned from Africa myself this past March, I can appreciate your image of Hippos. Good thing we don't have smell-o-vision... b/c these creatures are really odiferous! Nice image and this is really how they look in the wild. |

HI Ian: What a great location to take a well deserved break from all you've been through this past year. I love your image. Great leading line of the shore, reflections on the water, lovely textures and shapes. Nice job on the sky as well.

Hi Rashid, great action shot. To my eye, it appears a bit underexposed and the man gets lost in the shadows with him wearing all black. I like the leading line of the walk way, and the textures on the walls. If this were my image, I might dodge some of the area surrounding the man to make him "pop" a bit more and crop a bit tighter to remove the white area above his head. The white triangle patch on his trousers is distracting, to my eye, and would consider either cloning it out or burning it so it was not so prominent. |

HI John, I think your image fits "in the woods" very well. A nice leading line of the stream into the landscape. I like the effects of your slow shutter on the moving water but was hoping it would have made the water look a bit more soft. You handled the foreground very well with the large rocks and captured the reflections on the river nicely. It is sharp front to back nice tonal quality. Good job |

Hi Peter, to my eye, this is a fabulous out of this world image. Your composition is really remarkable capturing the hard, sharp dark rocks surrounded by what appears to be fog or sea foam. I cannot think of one thing to improve this wonderful image. |
