John - quite an amazing image and well spotted. The low light has greatly accentuated the shadow which appears to be unlike the shape of the stick. Super texture in the paving stones and I would not edit out anything. |

Ian - An alternative view of Perch Rock lighthouse which is very effective. The tree branch in the foreground is essential to the composition and the dark sky adds atmosphere and a sense of forboding.
Perhaps the crop at the top is a little excessive? |

Ed - A strong candid portrait of the artist highlighting his absolute concentration on his painting and the general surroundings. |

Susan - there is an issue with the image size - far too small to see the detail - I had to copy it and enlarge to see the subject matter.
It's an interesting 'frozen in time' image which I imagine is inside one of the buildings and photographed through a window. I do not recall seeing it on several visits to Bodie. |

Michael - A very atmospheric view of the Vestrahorn enhanced by the great light on the grasses. I particularly like the faint light line of separation between the black sand and the Vestrahorn.
You were very fortunate with the position of the clouds over the peaks and an interesting sky above. The only time I saw the Vestrahorn clouded over it was total. |

Ella - A subject I am well familiar with in Death Valley (see my post Sept 2025) photographed from a different angle and very effectivly. The feeling of isolation and desolation comes across well particularly with the mountain backdrop.
Nicely processed to retain the highlight detail. |
