31 Nov 25 Reply Thanks Ella - equally compelling, but I tend to prefer the crop of the mono image. Nov 23rd
31 Nov 25 Comment Ella - yet another well balanced still life image from your incredible imagination.
The eye is drawn to the face and the background compliments the image perfectly without being distracting. That said the highlight in the top right corner is a distraction.
I would imagine that the colour version is equally compelling.

31 Nov 25 Comment Susan - A calming image which exudes a feeling of cold and is nicely balanced. The overcast sky is a bonus and removes any distractions from that area. I would be inclined to see if an increase in contrast would add a little 'pop' to the image.
The hoar frost is very attractive and photogenic - I have seen it on many occasions in Yellowstone on winter trips - it adds anothet dimension to an image.

31 Nov 25 Comment Ed - A totally classic image which will always stand the test of time. The reed clusters are well separated and of similar shape which I feel is beneficial and the slight distortion in the reflections adds to the image as does the plain background. The vignette effect holds the eye into the image. Nov 14th
31 Nov 25 Comment Michael - A fantastic and seamless composite which generates a real sense of drama and is totally believable. I like the triagulation between the wave, moon and lighthouse which gives the image a good balance.
I am in two minds regarding the moon - when I first saw the image my immediate reaction was that it was too large. On further reflection I would be inclined to reduce it slightly and ammend the processing so that the moon is behind the clouds rather than over them.
Never the less a very creative image that really works - well done.

31 Nov 25 Comment Ian - a good take on a common subject. The leading lines of the rails and the overhead power lines lead the eye straight to the train. The overcast conditions were in your favour in that there are no distracting highlights in the buildings.
I might consider increasing the contrast a little.

31 Nov 25 Comment John - You've done it again! A compelling image that only a 'special' eye would see. The leaning post is the centre piece and immediately draws the eye against the plethora of verticals in the image. The metallic tones are magnificent and the post in the background gives a nice balance and fills in an empty space. Very well seen and processed.
