31 May 25 Reply Ed - I think that you are seeing things!! If I have identified the area correctly it is a patch of sand admittedly with virtually no detail - see snip from original capture .... May 25th
31 May 25 Reply Thanks for your appreciative comment! This image was captured 14 years ago on my first visit to White Pocket - my memory of that day is a little hazy, but I think it was captured from a small bluff in the centre of the area so from a slightly elevated position. May 21st

31 May 25 Comment Ella - This very complex image is so well done and utilizes all of your extensive still life skills. For me the lighting around the Blue Lady tends to mask her - it is an image which takes time to assimulate for the details to emerge.

31 May 25 Comment Susan - a great capture! My initial reaction on seeing the image for the first time was a sheet of music. Needless to say a closer look revealed the snow fences. The repeating pattern is very effective and I especially like the positioning of the two more deeply submerged fences in the centre of the image.
High key and the inclusion of snow texture would detract from the overall impact IMHO.		 May 16th

31 May 25 Comment Ian - A very moody image of what I guess is the iconic Perch Rock lighthouse. You have nailed the composition and the use of a slow shutter speed has enhanced the feel and atmosphere. The dark stormy sky is a real bonus. May 16th

The simplicity of the image invokes a calming effect to the viewer.		 May 16th
