Thanks Ella - the colour version is very much as I expected - stunning and my preference. |

Ed - a very dramatic image in which the sky clearly takes centre stage. I do like the layering and textures of the clouds and the hint of falling rain. The minimalist foreground serves to provide an adequate base for the image.

Ella - beautifully arranges in a very traditional manner and expertly lit as usual! I agree with Michael in that a lighter tone on the pine cones and the base components would be beneficial. As presented this area barely stands out rom the black of the table.
As usual a highly competant image and I guess that the colour version showing the red (?) ribbons and gold tape would be amazing.

Susan - I tend to echo Michael's comments and suggestions and would add one factor which struck me, namely the contrast between the round shapes of the pots and the rectangular shapes of the doors. I find that very pleasing.

Michael - another stunning image to follow up on last month's stunner. Very well composed with the monolith centre stage with so many leading lines to it. The texture in the sand at the base of the monolith, emphasized by the side lighting and the shapes are sublime. A well balanced image and the strong sky is a real bonus.
If I was able to travel once more to the USA this location would be on my bucket list.

Ian - No apologies needed - always a pleasure to see your portraiture.
I'm generally on board with Ella's comments - not too bothered with the foliage on the left side, but I do feel that the image is a little flat and a slight boost in contrast could be beneficial.

John - took me a while to interpret what you had captured, but having sorted that out it is clear that you have produced a highly graphic and dynamic image. It certainly grabs the eye and the repetition of the triangular shapes works well including the patch of cloud.
There is a hint of detail/texture in the whites which could perhaps be developed further. Well seen!
I feel that the image would be improved by the addition of a stroke to define the image limits.
