The camera was converted in the usual way. No particular lens was specified and I have had no issues with wide angle to medium telephoto lenses, although fair to say that the majority of my IR landscapes were captured at around 24mm. |

Equally dramatic in colour - if only the boat had been painted in red and yellow :) A quality image either way - in mono or colour. |

John - regrettably I cannot share in the enthusiasm for your image as expressed above although I must compliment you on your seeing eye and vision. I would certainly have walked straight by without a second thought, but kudos to you for seeing the potential. |

Ella - A fine architectural image of the castle which has good balance. Good detail in the stone work and the sky compliments the castle perfectly, even down to the position of the clouds. Maybe the driveway is a little too bright?
I look forward to seeing more images from your trip. |

Ed - I too like the symmetry in the image although a crop off the LHS would help in this respect. The delicate textures of the ceiling are very attractive, but as the original colours were no doubt muted the question of contrast is a sticky one.
On balance I feel that a moderate increase in contrast would be beneficial. Having said that I wonder if the image would be more successful in colour. |

Michael - a first class portrait of mother and daughter - it looks so natural as opposed to being posed, which it clearly is. The connection between the two is there for all to see - intense concentration on both faces. The processing is spot on too.
Thanks for including the backstory of the town - very interesting. |

Ian - very well captured in every respect - position and attitude of the boat are spot on. A real feeling of power and speed captured in a still image. Works well in mono, IMO.
The tree trunk above the boat as noted by Ella needs attention - I would clone it out rather than darken it down.
I can relate to this image in that in years gone by there was powerboat racing on Chasewater - a canal top up reservoir less than 10 mins walk from my house. |
