Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
31 May 24 Reply Michael - well spotted! Those lines are where the original rainbow was cloned out - incompletely it would seem. I suffer from macular degradation the result of which is that I do not see all detail clearly at times. No excuse, but fact of life. May 14th
31 May 24 Reply Hi Ella - I had no intention of offending you with my comment as I am sure that you know. I suffer from macular degeneration in my right eye, the nett effect of which is a variable degree of blur and a lack of clarity at times- obviously a bad day when I viewed your image. Must be more careful in the future. So sorry to have upset you. May 14th
31 May 24 Comment Ella - yet another string to your ever extending bow! Well posed with the bonus of a seed in the beak. The one area of the image which does not sit comfortably for me is the perch which is over contrasty relative to the rest of the image and seems to be sharper too. May 13th
31 May 24 Comment Susan - your use of IR for this image is inspired and adds so much more over a conventional shot. The lighting on the statue is great and the inclusion of the background tower balances the image nicely. May 13th
31 May 24 Comment Ed - a well composed image with such a strong leading line. Well processed from what I guess was a challenging capture and I particularly like the atmosphere generated by the spray from the waterfall. Framing is just right especially at the top of the image where the white is contained and does not bleed out. May 13th
31 May 24 Comment Michael - a warm welcome to the Group - so good to have some fresh blood!
A very dramatic image - well seen and well executed. The lighting on the chairs is sublime and that patch of light to the left so important I feel. Agree with the comments above regarding the band of light on the right.
Images such as this with predominately black peripherals benefit from the application of a 1-2 pixel stroke to separate the image from the black screen background.

31 May 24 Comment Ian - a well composed image - the movement in the sea is spot on and the detail in the sky a bonus.
If you have Nik I think the use of Detail Extractor on the pier and background on a masked layer would lift the image.

31 May 24 Comment John - a well balanced image with a strong foreground leading the eye to the main rock. Well spotted and composed.
Overall I feel that the image is a little flat and would benefit from more contrast and perhaps detail too and IMO the sky needs to be worked on to provide more drama
