31 Dec 22 Comment Ella - a very seasonal image with a delightful back story, but regretfully not one which stimulates my interest. Produced with your usual precision in terms of lighting and processing, but not for me - sorry!
Happy Holidays and all best wishes for the New Year.

31 Dec 22 Comment Susan - a superb rendition of the 'pyramid' in Paris. Your trusty Sony has delivered in spades and your composition is spot on. I particularly like the inclusion of the ferris wheel on the right. Great tonal range and detail right down to the detail in the sky. Love it - great job!

31 Dec 22 Comment Ed - A great pattern image with very mundane sublect matter, it works for me. Lighting and reflections handled well and even some sort of order amongst the chaos. Motorheads can no doubt identify the autos from which the hub caps originated!
Happy Holidays and all best wishes for the New Year.

31 Dec 22 Comment Nick - a bold image which tells the story In pure black and white and does not require any midtone detail to succeed. Well seen, nicely balanced.

31 Dec 22 Comment Ian - as Ella posted a very appropriate image for this time of year. For me the balance of the image is fine and the difficult lighting handled well. Love the background!
My only concern is with the lack of detail in the lower part of the face which gives the impression that he is wearing a mask. Close examination in PS with either Nik Detail Extractor or Shadows/Highlights reveals enough shadow detail in this area, so a masked layer would suffice. Incidentally there is a blacl blob just by his chin.
Seasons greetings and all best wishes for the New Year.

31 Dec 22 Comment John - an image with potential! A record of past glories well composed in my view. I would agree with Ella that it is a little flat overall and I think it a shame that the top of the main tree is cut off.
Season's Greetings and best for the New Year
