Nick - the sky in the mono version is the same as that in the colour version. The processing issue in the mono version is that the sky is too dark above the horizon on the right. Your version corrects this error - thanks |

John - you have made the best of an otherwise bland landscape - the post and rocks on the right provide a focal point complimented by the second post. The strong sky adds a little drama to the image - Topaz Denoise AI does not reveal significant noise although if the image were mine I would apply it.
The foreground is a little bright and there is a piece of rubbish in the lower left hand side. |

Ella - I remember the Kodak folding cameras well and the Agfa is very similar. Nicely lit, processed and presented - I like the complimentary textures of the box and background.
BTW - I don't see the stroke. |

Ed - a very gentle and calming image with strong composition and sympathetically processed - it would have been so tempting to darken the sky a little. but you have got it just right IMO.
Excellent reflection and strong foreground symmetry and great depth to the image. |

Nick - there is some similarity between the Fisgard Lighthouse and Castle Stalker in Scotland. it is a dramatic image, but I feel that the strength of the sky draws the eye and the lack of detail in the whites is an issue for me. The beams of light are a bonus and add to the overall atmosphere.
My take on the image, cropped and detail inserted into the white clouds by cloning in darken mode at reduced opacity. |

Ian - an effective image and well spotted - superb texture and tonality and a great crop.
I have to say that I like the colour version very much too - with the no. plate cropped or cloned out. |

I think that the sky has been over processed :(. For reference the colour version - which incidentally has gained an award in Bangladesh ... |
