Paul - this image looks familiar and is virtually identical to the version you posted in June 2020 albeit taken on a different camera. My comments remain the same with the exception of the suggestion of a white stroke...
"A great image and well seen, captured and composed under difficult conditions. The patches of light from the window on the floor and sill are the perfect lead in to the window itself. The processing is top notch - great detail in the walls including the shadow areas and the detail through the window so well brought out."
I think Micheal's edit is way OTT and destroys the ambience of the image. As presented your image is spot on. |

Ella - are these the same statues that were somewhat invisible in an earlier image you posted? A strong composition in which the detail in the backlit statues has been well rendered. I like the foreground lupines, but would have preferred to see more of them. For me the sky is a little washed out and could be darkened, not so much as to lose the separation of the statues against the sky. |

Ed - a really good still life, excellent composition, lighting and processing, My only gripe is the very bright, almost burnt out area on the egg - I think the image would benefit from reducing the brightness here - to the same tonality as the flower head. |

Michael - another dramatic cloudscape with good foreground interest to balance the image. I would consider darkening the foreground a little for added impact and maybe increasing the contrast too. |

Ian - a very dynamic image of the iconic Cathedral, excellent viewpoint and the almost featureless sky is a bonus and strengthens the image. I worked in Widnes for several years and remember visiting the Cathedral shortly after it was completed - unfortunately I was not involved in photography at the time. |

An intriguing image. John which asks questions. Well spotted, nicely composed and good use of the mcro lens to throw the background out of focus and well processed.
I would probably have cloned out the dark horisontal band above the finger tip.
