31 May 21 Comment John - I regret to say that I am struggling to comment positively on your image. It does nothing for me and I find that the lamp posts are just not attractive and the image very bland. The saving grace might have been some strong lighting falling on the lamp posts. May 17th
31 May 21 Reply No cars were cloned out in the making of this image :) In actual fact there is a car on the road, but only visible at high magnification. Lucky maybe, but at the time there was minimal traffic. May 15th
31 May 21 Reply It's Peter BTW :) Really wish this was in my own backyard! May 10th
31 May 21 Reply The colour version is as I imagined - superb with real impact! May 10th
31 May 21 Comment Ella - as usual another very competent image, full of interest and very well processed. The emphasis on the brightness level in the centre of the image draws the eye nicely to the patterned boots and the background of the horse's body has such great texture. The vignette is the finishing touch to the image.
My guess is that this image would be very appealing in colour too.

31 May 21 Comment Paul - A fine image of the waterfall in which your chosen shutter speed is spot on and the tonal range great. The diagonal flow of the waterfall works well and I wonder if it was possible to move your shooting position to the left a little to avoid the trees overlapping the shadow area on the left of the falls. There is a highlight on a dead tree branch at the base of the image which I find a little distracting. May 10th
31 May 21 Comment Ed - you have captured the isolation of this timber clad church very well and it typifies your title. Well processed with a good tonal range and cropped nicely from 4x5. Detail in the sky is great and the post processing here has not been overdone. Positioning the church just off centre works well and the absence of any hills in the background emphasizes remoteness of the location. May 10th
31 May 21 Comment Michael - a fine record image of these petroglyphs with a great tonal range. I find them fascinating and in this image the owls are superb. What I find interesting is the obvious range of abilities of the various artists - some of the petroglyphs are exact replicas of the original creature, but others look as if they had been done by a child.
I remember seeing some petroglyphs years ago in Utah and one or two were very alien which made me wonder if alien creatures made an appearance in those times - unlikely and maybe just the work of a creative artist.
