Ed - looking at the original image prior to resizing, etc. I cannot see the grey spot you noticed - maybe the effect of converting to jpeg? |

Paul - I regret to say that I am not drawn to this image - the crossed logs make for an interesting foreground, but I find the remainder of the image a little bland. |

John - an interesting image, but perhaps not as strong as last month's. The the nut in the lower right of the image is very important I feel. No doubt you have another similar image to make up the triptych! |

Michael - a very competent and well rendered record image of these petroglyphs, excellent detail and tonal range. I would suggest that you darken down the grasses in the foreground - they are the brightest part of the image and tend to draw the eye.

Ella - an intriguing image in which the eye can attempt to unravel the rope! Full of the finest texture and detail and so well lit against the dark background. Well composed - a subject I would have most likely walked past.

Ed - the image is full of dynamism - I like it very much. Composition, shutter speed and DOF all spot on and well processed. |

Ian - I love the concept of this image which clearly highlights the feeling of isolation and loneliness. Composition is spot on. The clouds appear to be pressing down on the person emphasizing the feeling that you wanted to portray in the image.
The figure is a little lost in the darker tones of the sky and I feel that marginal brightening of it would make it stand out a little more. Nit picking the cloud in the extreme top right corner is a little bright to my eyes.
O'all - very well done! |
