Rashid - your image certainly fulfills your brief of abstract forms in the environment, but I regret that it does not appeal to me at all. My apologies, but I find it very bland and uninteresting. |

Paul - a first class portrait of the King of the Jungle - a great pose with a background which does not distract yet which is appropriate. However, for a back lit subject, his face does seem to be a little over bright. |

John - I think this view of the waterfall is stronger than the one posted last month. From this angle the shutter speed looks to be about right, although a slower one of, say, 1/5sec may have been an improvement.
The tonal range is fairly limited and I feel that you have reduced the contrast a little bit too much. |

Ian - a first class, high quality portrait which reveals the character of Tom - quiet and doleful. Super natural lighting and an excellent tonal range in which the black background is very appropriate.
A very minor gripe - as soon as I saw the image I got the impression that his head was too large vs his body - this may be an optical illusion, but it struck me immediately! |

Ella - Overall I like this image - well seen and with a fine tonal range which reveals the delicate nature of the petals to perfection. The folded petal is particularly pleasing and the raindrops are an absolute bonus, but I do wish that the top of the flower was not cropped off and that there was more space on the LH side. I feel that reducing the highlight in the background above the light petal would benefit the image. |
