Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
65 Feb 17 Comment Welcome to the group, Vineeth.Very interesting first image you have here.
I do agree with Charles regarding the aperture selection. Another thing I noticed is that the light at the back on the rightside is taking up too much attention from your main subject in the foreground. Perhaps you could darken it a bit to create an heirarchy of tones so we get to enjoy both the lights one after the other. Also, in my opinion, the one of the left isīnt doing much to the image. Perhaps we could clone it out or crop it.

65 Feb 17 Reply You remember right, Mary. There was still other ingredients left to be added in the paella. This was taken while it was still cooking. It is a marinera paella. Meaning clams, shrimp and what not...
And yes, this is how they cook it here. Itīs a large shallow pan, fire cooked. Itīs actually really cool to watch.
Sorry, didnīt mean to make all of you hungry. But maybe thatīs a complement to my image if it is. Right!!!
Maybe next time Iīll put the entire dish up there. I have a cool picture of that too.

65 Feb 17 Reply Superb job on the image, Charles. I love how you brought the fire out and the paella too. And you are so right about the blown out spots that it is taking the attention out of the main subject. Funny what we donīt notice when we are stuck in the nostalgia of the moment. Thanks a ton. I will certainly make all those changes that you mentioned. Feb 18th
65 Feb 17 Reply I agree with Charles on this, Mary. Donīt be so hard on yourself. What youīre trying out is something really new and frankly thatīs what we are here for. This is the best place for experimentation and you are doing just that with great success. Good luck and I canīt wait to see whatīs next on your agenda. Feb 18th
65 Feb 17 Comment Thank you, Erick, for adding your comments. However, I am sure the rest of the group, and I would love to know more about what intrigued you about this cute creature to bring yourself to make this picture. And also please add some technical details too next time.
I love the way the squirrel is looking up with curiousity. Great capture there. However, the image in general seems soft to my eye. I am sure it would gain tremendously with some additions in contrast to bring out its lovely coat.

65 Feb 17 Comment This is a Superb image, Charles. The detail and the clarity is incredible. And I particularly love the backlight behind the leaf and the bud.
No suggestions to add. Just admiration.

65 Feb 17 Comment Rain can surely bring out the better of us. And you are no exception, Mary. I like the way you were aiming to get into the depth of these yummy treats.
However, how about having a little more fun with the composition? I notice some cool reflections here. But they have been cropped off. And how about looking at them for different angles instead of only head on? I am curious how that would show up.
