Yes Al, I would have loved meeting you in person and while sharing a cup of coffee. Not to mention how useful would have been your expertise of the rock formations. However, the picture was taken during the PSA Conference in Salt Lake City between Aug 28 and Sept. 3, 2005. Were you a member at that time and did you attend the conference? What a treasure you have in the "Garden of the Gods." |

In addition and as a suggestion, capturing an image of raindrops alone is great to save for blending with other possibilities. |

Peggy, it is easy to do and you can try it in your own home. (Camera on tripod, shutter on Bulb and illuminate the subject with any flaslight or lightsource.) Some of the results are amazing. Garden of the Gods in Colorado has amazing rock formations and it s free to the general public. |

Sorry Marti, I neglected to mention that perhaps you should eliminate the distracting green reflection or plant on the left bottom edge. |

I agree with both comments. I also think you can use a little more room on the left side and gove the butterfly more contrast from the foliage. |

This is certainly a colorful and interesting portrait. In relation to what has been said, I think that it can improve greatly with the right color background and by softening the edges of her shoulders, to avoid giving that paste-up look. |

I like both compositions only in Marti's version, I do not think that the two left and right stems are needed. The right stem leads the eye out of the picture. |

Very nice dreamy and colorful effect you created Marti. Good cropping, although I would consider a bit more on the left and a bit less on the right. Also I think it would improve visually if you straigten it a bit. |

No Jerry, not a cinnamon bun nor a Big Mac, it is one of the balancing rock at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. |

In case I did not make myself clear, I am including an image to give an idea of what it would look like if the time-exposure and the painting of light was not applied. |
