I love these buildings and the natural look. It is a shame that they are slowly disappearing. Al, you did a great job of processing and as much as I love the colors and crispness of the image, I am uncomfortable with the composition. I too feel that we have two pictures here. The abstract reflection and colors in the window with the fern below, make one picture and demands attention. As it is, perhaps you would consider cropping part of left of the window and making it a secondary element to the door. |

Well done Jerry, not only in processing, but in photographing and composing as well. My only suggestions for improvement are perhaps to crop just a little more from the left and brighten and sharpen the eyes a bit. |

Mike, this was beautiful light and you were there to see it and capture it. However, the red cliff in the background is distracting. I wonder if it was possible to eliminate it from a different angle and still maintain the light. I would keep the cropped bottom and simply use the Spot Healing Brush to take out the bright foliage in the right bottom corner and the branch going out of the picture in the left bottom corner. I would also totally darken the cliff in the background, not only because it detracts from the image, but also because it has a devilish face in it. Also a little sharpness, gave it more life. Hope you like it and agree. |

Very nice processing Marti, but the four levels are a bit distracting for me.. Why did you not center the fountain, was the extra space on the left deliberate or an oversight. To improve on this I think it needs more life and a stepladder for a better view of the fountain and the least amount of background as possible. Perhaps blurring the background trees could help. |

I agree with Jerry, the process makes the flower stand out well. For me, the side stems are secondary elements, but I feel that there is too much negative space on the right and not enough on the left. Perhaps you may consider this composition Peggy or something similar without the tilting. |
