22 Apr 21 Reply I think that if you show more of the sign then it demands more attention and it takes it away from the rest. Actually, it could use a bit more cropping. Apr 12th
22 Apr 21 Comment Thank you everyone for all your interesting observations. I would consider this image only as part of a story.
Interesting that this month we have almost six nature pictures.

22 Apr 21 Reply Yes Marti, the "blue hour" would have been better, but I was not there at hat time. Your crop is fine, only now it is boxed in and we loose the effect of its surroundings.

22 Apr 21 Reply Yes Mike, you are correct. I was remembering it wrong. Thank you for catching that. Apr 12th
22 Apr 21 Comment "Enjoy the Ride" and enjoy the view. As busy as it is, it is very appealing. Yes, you have found the perfect combination of colors. I am not disturbed by the sign as much as I am disturbed by the reflection on the top left edge, which can be easily eliminated. Apr 12th
22 Apr 21 Comment I find water reflections fascinating, because they can be very creative and unique; no two images are alike. You have selected the best composition from the original, but it may be more effective if you crop to part of the third green reflection. I do wish I could see more of the top.

22 Apr 21 Comment I also agree and compliment you on your creative cropping Al. I love the colors, but I suggest either eliminating the little red tulip or keeping all of it. I would also remove the leaf at the bottom left that leads the eye out of the picture. If you want to fill in the negative space in the lower left, you can clone in one of the leaves.

22 Apr 21 Comment I must say that I am enjoying both versions of your find Jerry. The color version give the red pipes for the eye to rest on, but the B & W makes the eye wonder all over. What I love the most is the multiple triangles created by the image and its shadows; including the distracting left-hand corner. I started to count them and lost track after 30 or more.

22 Apr 21 Comment Lovely Poppy Peggy, in spite of the softness in the background. Poppies are bright and the rich colors are very fitting. This is the kind of picture that you can take several images at different levels and then use the Staking process to get it all sharp. I feel that this image would be best presented in the center of a square format and I would include both sides of the purple areas.

22 Apr 21 Comment Your Iris is beautiful with its rich purple tones and sharpness. You sure know how to use your layers to advantage. I would not mind some of the natural background. The only part I would have eliminated was the background iris and bright spot on the lower left side and small spot on the right. However, this does makes a lovely Art Decor image. My only suggestion is to give it a little tilt to the right, to avoid the static vertical look.
