Thank you for your input Beverly. Yes, the elimination of that light does help. |

Okay Al, I too like the symmetry, so here is what I have done. I duplicated the original, flipped the copy horizontally, cropped out 45% of the left side and dragged the right side over the original, which jumped right into place. The center line from the floor gave me a perfect line to work with. I lowered the opacity on the copy and selected the portion I wanted to keep. I inverted the selection and erased the unwanted leftover portion. Finally I flattened the two images. Now I would call this a manipulated image. |

Nice big moon Mike, but just hanging in darkness, is not pleasing. Perhaps in can be superimposed on a gray sky or add some glow to it. A stroke would help as well. |

Thanks Al, but I rather fix the right with the left than crop the front and loose some of the depth. But not now. |

Yes, I did use Content Aware to clean up the left side and perhaps the same can be done with Al's suggestion. I did not do anything with the coloring, but consider that we have the warm tones from the light and that the wall are painted in orange. |

Jerry, you have a keen eye. I must learn better how to tone down bright areas. |

Yes, for a 30th of a sec. this is very good. It very much reminds me of my house at Christmas. The entire picture is the composition, but my eye rests by the ran-deers and how one shadows onto the house. I do not mind the cut-off side of the house, but because of the darkness on the roof, the top peak appears to be just hanging there. Not sure what can be done about that. Note that it tilts a bit to the left. |

I am enjoying the Art Deco, but I am not finding a focal point for my eye to rest on. My thoughts are like Jerry's, but since the restaurant is closed, I was thinking of a cat on the bench instead. In the color version, the window with the square panels is my focal point. |

Jerry, I love your ingenuity in capturing this self-ghostly image, but I must ask, if you had a friend with you, why not have him pose at the window? In any case, I feel that in this case, any motion created and not having the hands so sharp, would have added to the ghostly effect. Yes, a very creative and effective idea. |

Not sure if this falls under night photography, but it is a beautiful composition and story telling. The silhouetted boat is just perfect for me and lovely colors in the sky. |

Very nice Al. I am impressed for the way you brightened the dull balloon. If you had not mentioned, no one would know. In this case we can consider the entire picture as the composition. I like that you left the picture slanted. I think that straight would be too static. |

Maryellen, this is an innovative creation and I am impressed. However, I think that the bird in the top right corner is distracting and not needed. You are an "outside-of-the-box" thinker. |
