Thank you Jerry and Peggy for your appreciation. I hope that this version helps. I just asked for some help from Canvas size, Healing Brush and the Clone Brush. |

Jerry, I was challenged by your suggestion. So I went into Photoshop and I selected the cart and saved it on a blank background. Then returned to the main image and after selecting the cart and going to Edit >Content-Aware Fill and the Sampling Brush , I cleared out the cart. PS 2020 does a good job of it. I then created one image with and one image without the cart. I also cropped a bit from the right side. I also applied a bit of Curves for the mist. |

Sorry Kaylyn, I had meant to and then neglected to add my good wishes for a full and painless recovery.
As for the horses, apart from your concerns Jerry, I wonder how that middle horse is managing to eat and the other two are going to starve before the pandemic is over. |

This has all the elements of a good composition and it stands out nicely as a B & W. I think the sky effect is just perfect. The only correction I would consider is cropping just bit (1/4 in) from the left. Excellent subject for texture, lines and composition.

Marti, you have an excellent idea here, which has much potential, but with the right elements. First of all, you have light in front of the stairs and light coming from the sky behind the stairs. I think you need only a clouds background with out any sky. To me the clouds appear to be a turbulent ocean instead of clouds. You have a hint of stairs into the sky, but I think you need to show more. I think the idea has potential, but at the moment I am not getting any inspiration.

I always enjoy creative nature work. It appears that your caterpillar is coming out of a cocoon. I flipped it a few different ways and I thought this was a stronger composition.
Marti, you got nice sharpness on your image, but I think the leaves too strong and they take away from the caterpillar.

Interesting common subject which generally gets ignored. Yes, sharpness and color makes this image stand out. For a possible improvement, it can probably use a slight vignetting and for the picky part, I would eliminate the little piece of paper (or whatever) on the top left corner of the box.

This image has all the proper elements needed, the scene, the painter and part of the painting itself. What hurts the picture is the almost larger than the painter, the cart and junk with it. I wondered if I could reduce it and after selecting I reduced it with Free transform and filled in the ocean with the Clone tool. A little Curves treatment helped with the haze.

Yes, definitely an eye-catcher. The placement and color of the figures is just right. However, I ask: Would you consider cropping the mountain and sky if these were real horse? I think not, because to me the mountain and sky is part of the scene or else you end up with just a subject without a secondary element. Just my 1 1/2 cent worth.

Elizabeth, I just noticed your constructive comments of my Gp 22, June image. You have a good point and I thank you for sharing.
The coastline of Maine brings back many wonderful memories. You were fortunate to get someone with a red umbrella, but we never saw the sun, mornings or nights, during the full week of the 2013 Portland Maine PSA Conference. |
