Thank you Al, I like your version. It has more character. I really do not know Topaz that well. I have to get some posters from you Marti. |

Another beautiful waterfall. I love your post process Kaylyn, but I see room for a little improvement. I took the liberty to remove the dead tree at the top left. PS did a beautiful job. I also darkened the white tree trunk 3/4 top right and the orange spot just below that. I then eliminated the orange foliage in the bottom left corner. I also cropped a bit from the left. Hope you think it is an improvement. |

Now here is a subject I can enjoy perfectly in the center of the frame. After straightening it out, I cropped it with Content Aware selected. I then selected the cones and sharpened a bit, inverted the selection and toned down the background a bit and gave it a .50px Stroke. What do you think? |

Marti's enhancement brings out the image nicely and Jerry, that is a very good point of composition. My only observation is that considering the amount of space to the right of the windmill, it could have used a little more space to the left of the windmill, just for visual balance. |

Jerry, you are a romantic.
Well, here it is. But I may have overdone the vignette. |

On a second look, I noticed that your original picture is a different picture. The ball is by the left player. |

Peggy, yes, you definitely have created a beautiful mood and I love it. The long foreground of wild flowers leading to the house is perfect. However, I feel that the crop from the top and the right side are too close to the house. I suggest to leave a little more room at the top and right side.

Nice action picture Jerry. We can see the action going on in both players and the ball in mid air. I also like that the head of the left player only lightly near merged with the tree leaves. I would consider removing the red disposal and giving the left player more room to move also by cropping the top windows, we can concentrate more on the players. It would be nice toes a little motion on the ball, but gosh, can we have everything?

Yes Al, this is a beautiful image and Jerry said it all. This is the perfect spot for this image. I do think that you could tone down a bit the foliage and water and darken a bit Mount Moran. I would also consider to include that bit of river on the right side, especially since you have it in the original. |

Kathy, I also feel that you have a powerful image here, but you can make it better. I love the combination of the colors and all the manipulations you have made. I have some constructive suggestions for you to consider. I feel that there are two problems here. One is a conflict between the tree and the model. The other is of balance. The tree is too small and the model too large and each demanding attention. I would consider enlarging the tree, so that it overflows half out of the top and reduce the size of the model a bit. I would also flip the model from left to right, so that she would have the same contour as the tree and place her a bit to the left of the tree. This would make the model as the primary subject and the tree secondary. I do not see a dark strip in either of the originals, so I suspect it is coming from your overlays. I do not understand what part the strip plays. I think it is distracting and that it devides the picture into two. It can easily be removed. I hope these are helpful suggestions, but please keep in mind, this is your creation. |
