This is great improvement from the original and apart from all that has been said, if we want to concentrate more on the waterfall, what about this cropping? |

I too was at the Mexican Hat once and all I had was the Mexican Hat and poor light. I am impressed that you were there Mike and you were able to capture something of value. I think that since you cropped so much from the bottom, you do not need to crop from the top, giving the Mexican Hat less attention and more to the horses. I also stretched a bit of canvas from the back. Sorry, I could not let that Pinto run ahead of the group, so I brought him back for more contrast.

For me, all the leading lines point to the door as the focal point. The contrast of the greens and the blue make a good marriage. On purpose or not, the darker tones of age at the top, give a sense of reality. I would like to see more of the roof. I also see a little barrel curve on your vertical lines, which can be easily corrected.

I cannot be as poetic as Jerry, but in spite of what has been said, I love these colors and the painterly effect you have created. Keep experimenting.

Marti, this is typically of you, to find and capture an unusual shot like this. Other than what Jerry, Peggy and Al said, I think he needs a set of shoes.

For me the unusual design and pattern of the leaves, puts this image in the class of abstracts. Yes, I am sure that the use of filters would further enhance the abstract quality. Also possibly changing the tones of greens on the leaves. The overall look kind of bothered me, so after flipping it in various ways, I settled on this as a more comfortable composition.
